A petri dish full of cornstarch and water, vibrated by a 35-55hz sine wave over a period of 60 seconds.
This was a test run for my sculpture "Snowy Day".

This is a circuit-bent Kidtronix toy drum machine from the late '80s/early '90s. I added a 555-based timing circuit from a led display to make it a kind of automatic drum machine.
A device that generates spacey laser-beam type sounds by charging and discharging a large capacitor that emits AM interference. A flashbulb assembly from a disposable camera provides the capacitor and flashes the strobe when discharging.
A demonstration of Michael Una's Beep-it optical theremin synthesizer, which outputs a square wave whose pitch is variable in relation to the amount of light striking a photocell mounted within the device.

This project is currently shelved while I increase my electromechanical fabrication skillz. Eventually, I will tackle this project again and make it more rugged and also more expressive.

I was bored at work and decided to do a mandala sketch in a different manner.
I used my cheap lofi digital camera and took some stop-motion video of myself drawing a little radial design on a piece of paper.
I processed the video and added some music and I'm pretty happy with the results. The whole thing took less than two hours.
